Front End Developer (Remote)

Infosys is seeking a Frontend Developer. This position’s primary responsibility will be to provide technical expertise and coordinate for day to day deliverables for the team. The chosen candidate will assist in the technical design, development, enhancements/ upgrades of large business systems and support UI applications interactive with diverse platforms and technologies. The role holder should be able to research on technologies independently to recommend appropriate solutions & should contribute to technology-specific best practices & standards; contribute to success criteria from design through deployment, including, reliability, cost-effectiveness, performance, data integrity, maintainability and scalability; contributes expertise on significant application components, program languages, databases, operating systems, etc., and guides/mentors the team during the build and test phases.

This position is based in Irvine, CA. Candidate can work remotely from anywhere within the US during EST time zone. This position may require relocation and or travel to project location.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.
• Experience in JavaScript, JSP.
• Experience in HTML5, CSS3 and Bootstrap.
• Experience in Java/ J2EE in any one major framework.

Preferred Qualifications

• A minimum of 7 years’ experience in JavaScript frontend development.
• Developing and implementing responsive UI/Front-end web applications.
• Experience with JavaScript libraries / frameworks such as ReactJS/AngularJS or similar technology.
• Experience with data-driven web development, including strong knowledge of JSON, AJAX, and XML, CSS, SASS, Bootstrap, HTML.
• Extensive use of APIs and a strong understanding of HTTP and REST architecture.
• Experience in Cross-browser development and troubleshooting.
• Experience with frontend Unit/E2E testing frameworks such as Jest/Jasmin/Karma or similar technology.
• Experience with build/package tools such as npm/grunt/gulp/webpack or similar technology.
• Experience in RESTful API development using Nodejs.
• Experience with UI Design concepts and ES6.

The job entails an extensive amount of travel. The job also entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face to face.
