What You’ll Be Doing In This Role With Us…
- building a best in class regulatory monitoring platform (“RegTech”, “GovTech”, “LegalTech”)
- understanding European political systems inside and out, both from a data as well as from a functional perspective
- develop our frontend interfaces in a full fledged agile team (UX, Backend (PHP / Symfony), Frontend (TypeScript / React), QA)
- taking part and driving the architectural decisions related to the Frontend, decide about framework, libraries, code style and conventions, structuring of the files
- discussing new features with UX and Backend team regarding technical limitations from Frontend side
- implement new features with React, solve bugs, write End to End tests, PR reviews, keeping FE dependencies up to date, keep documentation up to date
- take responsibility and ownership of functionalities

You…
- have at minimum 3 years of experience in developing web applications with React
- are an expert in TypeScript (JavaScript)
- know Redux or any other global state management
- know how to deal React Hook Forms
- have knowledge of version control system like Git
- have basic knowledge about unit-tests and end-to-end tests
- can provide knowledge of REST API and their principles
- have additional knowledge of securing web apps
- are capable of writing clean, maintainable and scalable code
- can do pixel perfect implementations of UI interfaces provided by our design team
- have independent working habits and a good remote working environment with excellent internet connection
- and a very good command of English as our main working language
Important 1: You must be based in Europe / within CET (max. ± 2h) timezone, and have to be either an EU citizen or own a long-term Schengen visa to travel freely.
Important 2: As there are no trans-european employment possible (yet), a B2B contract with lots of extra perks and legal protection will be necessary.
In addition, we would be happy if you…
- know MUI or other component libraries
- have worked with TanStack Query or other client side data fetching solution
- could provide experience with Storybook
- have worked with Vite or other bundlers like Webpack
- know Vitest or other test runners like Jest
- understand and have worked with Cypress
- have basic knowledge of backend development
- experience in Test-driven development and open-data projects
- are keen on working with Open Government Data or have experience in GovTech projects
And awesome, of course, if you already…
- have a completed (or well advanced) education in computer science, programming, or applied informatics (university, technical college or similar) OR are self-educated with high theoretical knowledge (design and architectural patterns, computational complexity, software development workflows, communication protocols, …)
- submitted PRs to open source projects
- have insights about politics and the European Union
- speak additional languages like German or any other language
