Frontend Developer (Remote)

What we’re looking for

We are looking for a Semi-Senior or Senior Front End developer to build different websites using different front-end technologies, Located in COLOMBIA (Other countries, unfortunately, will not be considered). Compensation up to 10,000.000 COP.

Responsibilities

• Build websites from a design spec. Yep, that’s pretty much it.
• 🔥 BUT, If you want to get to the 10 million compensation plan you would be required to have a lead role in the company. Talk to clients and have technical conversations, ensure a project is well executed and on time, do PR reviews, help and facilitate for your team.

Qualifications

• 💎 English Proficiency. B2 (Upper-Intermediate) or above.
• 💎 Very talented writing CSS. We work doing marketing websites, which means attention to detail is paramount.
• 💎 Very Solid Javascript:
• Experience with React a big plus.
• Can solve Javascript problems creatively.
• Implement libraries, read and understand documentation.
• Work with vanilla JS.
• Understands and knows how to work the DOM and the browser APIs.
• Search the web for answers. Yes! Even copy-pasting StackOverflow requires skill.
• Very good at debugging (developer tools).

• Understands Git and version control
• WordPress or Shopifyexperience a big plus
• Can navigate a codebase. Not everything is built from scratch.
• Optimize a website for speed and mobile experience.
• E-commerce is a plus.
• You like to learn new things all the time.
• Strong communication skills. This point sounds like blah blah, but it’s essential for a remote company like ours. You need to be able to talk to clients, ask questions, raise flags, request improvements, speak out your mind when things can be improved; in general, participate proactively throughout the development process.
