Full Stack Engineer (Remote)

Our client is an innovative software technology company offering cutting-edge retail and hospitality solutions to major global brands. From point of sale to mobile, online, and social, they offer solutions for cloud and managed services, ensuring their retail partners have everything they need to make the sale.

They’re looking to add an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to their team who can design, modify, develop, write, and implement software programming applications/operating systems. This engineer will be a part of the team that is transforming and evolving the current product suite and must have a strong background in AngularJS and Java development and be energized by collaboration and creative problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Developing and unit testing assigned software features and functionalities
• Performing technical root cause analysis and outlining corrective action for complex problems and defects
• Providing reliable solutions to various technical problems
• Participating in daily meetings to communicate work progress and potential roadblocks.
• Presenting, collaborating, and adding value to the company and team through participation in peer code reviews, providing comments, and offering suggestions
• Seeking feedback early and iteratively
• Continuously improving software delivery processes and practices for our client’s products
• Applying a sense of urgency, commitment, and focus on the right priorities for developing solutions in a timely fashion
• Working collaboratively and professionally with other associates in cross-functional teams to achieve business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field and/or a combination of work experience and education
• Advanced experience in systems analysis, design, or programming
• Advanced experience in Java/J2EE and Open Source frameworks such as Spring
• Advanced experience in AngularJS
• Demonstrated experience in the fundamentals of object-oriented programming
• Demonstrated experience in the fundamentals of algorithmic design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis
• Demonstrated experience in the fundamentals of data structures
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills with the confidence to ask questions and challenge opinions when necessary
• Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills – must be able to communicate and interact effectively with diverse coworkers
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to set priorities, handle multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines
• Exceptional integrity and accountability – learning from mistakes and accepting guidance and suggestions for improvement
