Full Stack Game Developer (Remote)

We are a startup at the intersection of Web3 and Web2 gaming, with a vision of creating the world’s stickiest gaming ecosystem. We are a team of energetic, fast-paced, and creative professionals who love pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. Our games are built for Telegram, so experience buildings games and particularly with Telegram mini-apps is a requirement.

Having closed our first funding round, we are expanding our team to develop our first games and are planning our token launch for Q4 2024.

Role Summary:

*This role is in English. Please do not apply with non-English CVs or if you have no experience building Telegram mini-apps.

TLDR: full stack game developer (frontend focussed) with experience building Telegram games (required).

We are seeking an experienced game developer to support our Telegram and Discord game development initiatives with a frontend focus. It is required that you have built games and have knowledge of Telegram mini-apps.

An ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in front-end development, an understanding of Web3, and has shipped games previously.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build frontend of high-quality 2D games for Telegram.
• Work with our UI designers to optimise UX and implement their Figma designs to make games come to life.
• Collaborate closely with backend and Web3 developers to ensure seamless game functionality and integration.
• Continuously evaluate and enhance our gaming roadmap, ensuring alignment with Web3 & Telegram gaming industry trends and player feedback.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience building mini-apps in Telegram — bonus if you can email a link to a Telegram game you built to finance@kokomo.games
• Game development experience
• Next.js, React, CSS, Typescript
• Web3 knowledge

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proven experience in game design and development, with a strong portfolio of shipped games.
• Expertise HTML5, WebGL, Websockets, Redis; experience with Unity is a big plus.
• Creative and innovative thinker with a knack for visual design and aesthetics.
• Familiarity with or a strong interest in cryptocurrency and blockchain.
• Ideally, some experience working with or in high-profile gaming companies or experience as an independent game developer with successful titles.
