About the Role

As a Full-Stack Web Developer at Equate Media, you will join a dynamic team of 15 skilled web developers dedicated to building and maintaining scalable, efficient, and high-performing web applications that support our lead generation business in a fully remote and collaborative environment.

You’ll play a critical role in designing and maintaining robust back-end architectures, integrating third-party services, and creating user-friendly front-end components. Your work will directly impact our ability to deliver high-quality leads to clients across diverse sectors, optimizing their ability to capture and convert customers with a combination of customer facing web applications and in-house web applications.

Working closely with others in the software development group, you’ll have the opportunity to tackle exciting challenges such as designing microservice architectures, streamlining workflows, and implementing cutting-edge technologies to improve scalability and reliability. You’ll also collaborate with other departments, including marketing and sales, to translate business needs into technical solutions that drive measurable outcomes.

Position Overview

As a Full-Stack Web Developer at Equate Media, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and maintaining our applications and microservices. You’ll work with cutting-edge technologies like Nest.js and RabbitMQ and contribute to our efforts to enhance lead generation, optimize conversion rates, and deliver exceptional client experiences. We’re looking for someone who not only has a strong command of our tech stack (Nest.js, PHP, Vue.js, and more) but also has a proactive mindset, always looking for ways to innovate, improve processes, and mentor teammates.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Nest.js (primary stack).
• Work with and maintain legacy code in PHP when needed.
• Architect and implement microservices with tools like gRPC and RabbitMQ.
• Build and integrate payment systems (e.g., Authorize.NET, Stripe).
• Contribute to frontend development using Vue.js and Quasar.
• Develop and consume REST APIs for seamless integration between services.
• Collaborate with the team on containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes (preferred).
• Ensure database optimization with MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented TypeScript code.
• Mentor team members, conduct code reviews, and ensure adherence to SOLID and Clean Architecture principles.
• Write comprehensive unit tests to ensure software quality.
• Monitor applications using tools like PM2 for performance optimization.

What We’re Looking For

• 4–5 years of professional experience in software development.
• 3+ years of experience with Nest.js as your primary stack.
• Proficiency in microservice architecture design and implementation.
• Hands-on experience with gRPC and writing .proto files.
• Working knowledge of RabbitMQ in distributed systems.
• Familiarity with payment gateways like Authorize.NET or Stripe.
• Basic frontend development skills using Vue.js and Quasar.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs and their implementation.
• Mobile development experience (e.g., React Native or Ionic) is a plus.
• Knowledge of CI/CD principles and experience with automation tools.
• Proficiency with relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and basic NoSQL concepts.
• Familiarity with Redis and monitoring tools like PM2.
• Understanding of DDD, SOLID, and Clean Architecture principles.
• Strong expertise in TypeScript.
• Experience in mentoring and conducting code reviews.
• Ability to write unit tests and ensure code quality.
