Full Time Senior Full Stack Developer (Remote)

Metajive is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Full-Stack Developer to join our team on a Full-Time basis. This role will be fully remote and based in Canada. The ideal candidate is a skilled problem-solver passionate about crafting exceptional digital experiences. You will collaborate with our design and development team to build innovative and high-performing websites and web applications.

You enjoy collaborating with the design teams to challenge ideas, fine-tune concepts, and polish the experience. You would like to work on projects that put millions of eyes on your work.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain complex web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Next.js)
• Collaborate with designers and other developers to translate designs into functional, high-quality code
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
• Optimize website performance and user experience
• Stay up-to-date with the latest web development technologies and trends
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
• Collaborate with tech leads, producers, and clients to ensure project success

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional Full-Stack Development experience (with our tech stack)
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver pixel-perfect designs
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Expert-level knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks: React, Next.js
• CMS systems (WordPress, Statamic, Sanity, and others)
• SaSS, SCSS
• WebGL, GSAP (nice to have)
• Experience with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
• Proficiency in version control systems (Git)
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Strong understanding of visual concepts
• Experience with crafting animation-driven web experiences
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong experience with backend development (Node.js, PHP, Python, Ruby on Rails)
