Job Description: GCP Developer/ Data Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Developer.  As a GCP Developer, you will play a key role in developing, deploying and maintaining cloud-based applications on the Google Cloud Platform. You will collaborate with functional teams to understand business requirements and design and implement solutions that leverage GCP’s suite of services. The role involves leveraging various GCP services and tools to build scalable, reliable, and efficient cloud-based applications. The candidate should have a strong background in cloud computing, and a deep understanding of GCP services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, and Kubernetes Engine. You should be proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go, and have experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and containerization technologies.

Duties and Responsibilities

·       As an GCP Developer, you will be responsible for fetching data (IoT, Structured, Unstructured) from various data sources to GCP environment and/or implementing data solutions using Google Data Cloud services.

·       Developing and deploying scalable, reliable, and secure cloud-based applications on Google Cloud Platform.

·       Optimizing applications for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency on GCP.

·       Develop and maintain GCP provided CI/CD pipelines.

·       Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to cloud-based applications.

·       Work with GCS (Google Cloud SQL) for handling the IoT data.

Required Skills and Experience

·       Overall 5+ years of experience with 2-3 Years of relevant experience as GCP Data engineer.

·       Real-time, hands-on experience in ingesting and managing IoT data is a Must

·       Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with GCP services i.e., Cloud Storage, Compute Engine, App Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Composer, Big Query, Big Table, Cloud Dataflow, PubSub, Data Fusion, Dataproc, Airflow, Docker etc.

·       Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Go, and familiarity with cloud-native languages like Go or Node.js.

·       Experience with DevOps practices, automation tools, and implementing continuous integration and deployment pipelines and understanding of cloud architecture principles, microservices architecture, and distributed systems.

·       Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.

·       Proficient in Cloud computing, web development and data management

·       Must possess exceptional coding & Scripting skill and Knowledge of infrastructure automation tools and CLI.

Preferred Qualifications

·       Bachelor’s degree / Master’s degree in computer science or Information Technology.

·       Google Cloud Certified – Professional Cloud Developer certification.
