Job Description:

We’re seeking a strategic and technically proficient Google Ads Specialist to join our fast-growing agency, where we focus on scaling startups from ideation through Series B. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for driving client success through custom-tailored, holistic Google Ads strategies and meticulous campaign execution. You’ll be the go-to expert for Paid Search across our diverse client base, with opportunities to grow into managing other channels and tactics. This is a fully remote position offering flexibility in both work hours and total hours, where your contributions will directly impact client outcomes.Core

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Campaign Development:
  • Design and implement Google Ads strategies that align with each client’s unique business goals, target audience and market position.
  • Build holistic, goal-driven approaches that integrate seamlessly into broader marketing strategies.
  • Client Communication:
  • Clearly articulate channel strategies, campaign updates and performance metrics to clients in both written and verbal communication.
  • Maintain regular communication with the internal team via Slack and ClickUp
  • Campaign Management & Optimization:
  • Execute, manage and optimize Google Ads campaigns across multiple client accounts through continuous testing and refinement of ad copy, targeting, bidding strategies and all other on-platform elements that support sustainable, long-term channel performance.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends to proactively adjust strategies and adopt new features.
  • Technical Tracking & GTM Implementation:
  • Lead the setup of event-based tracking and pixel integrations, including Google Tag Manager (GTM), Google Ads conversion tracking, and platform-specific pixels (e.g., Meta, TikTok).
  • Provide detailed, actionable instructions to clients or their developers for setting up event tracking systems.
  • QA and troubleshoot tracking implementations to ensure proper data flow and accuracy.
  • Budget & Performance Management:
  • Monitor and adjust budgets to optimize ROAS and meet client-specific budgetary goals.
  • Use performance insights to continuously refine campaign strategies and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Collaboration:
  • Partner with internal teams to share insights and identify opportunities to deliver maximum value to clients.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge sharing to elevate team expertise.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strategic Expertise:
  • Proven ability to translate client goals, products, and target audiences into impactful Google Ads strategies.
  • Deep understanding of PPC/SEM principles and their role within integrated marketing strategies.
  • Technical Proficiency:
  • Advanced knowledge of Google Ads, Google Tag Manager (GTM), and event-based tracking setups.
  • Comfortable troubleshooting tracking issues and guiding developers or clients through technical event tracking setup.
  • Client-Facing Communication Skills:
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, enabling clear, insightful explanations of strategies and performance metrics to clients.
  • Proven Performance:
  • A portfolio, case studies or detailed past examples showcasing success in managing and optimizing Google Ads campaigns with measurable results.
  • Project Management:
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously, prioritize tasks effectively and adapt to evolving client needs.
  • Collaboration & Feedback:
  • A team player with a growth mindset, eager to both give and receive feedback to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 3+ years of Google Ads management, preferably in a digital ad agency or startup environment.
  • Technical Skills: Expertise in GTM, pixel tracking, and event-based tracking setups. Familiarity with other ad platforms (e.g., Meta, TikTok) is a plus.
  • Certifications: Google Ads Certification is preferred.
