Role Description

The Graphic Designer produces digital and printed assets that support our marketing and sales channels’ needs. The qualified candidate will have in-depth knowledge of foundational graphic design skills such as spatial relationships and composition, layout techniques, typographic conventions, and color theory. Other experiential touchstones include:

• Managing projects from conception to completion
• The ability to balance competing priorities
• Working within established brand guidelines
• Iterating on design approaches when needed
• Taking direction from multiple stakeholders
• The ability to correctly identify and categorize product and interior design styles

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Create layouts for printed catalogs, price books using master pages, character, paragraph, and table styles in Adobe InDesign
• Design product packaging and simple box labels for multiple brands and sales channels
• Create layouts for printed catalogs, using master pages, character, paragraph, and table styles in Adobe InDesign
• Create diagrams, infographics, and other digital assets for product listings on both retailer and company-owned websites
• Manage the company’s Social Media platforms and Email Marketing (Facebook, Instagram)
• Create and manage a calendar for Social Media posts using Hootsuite
• Create all Social Media posts, including some light copywriting as needed
• Collaborate with internal departments to initiate project feedback loops
• Manage all tasks and projects using Asana
• Assist with company-owned website edits as needed
• Keep all digital files organized, adhering to established naming conventions and file structures
• Stay up to date on design trends, software, and other tools as appropriate
• Other projects needed to support the department’s efforts

Job Skills & Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience as a Graphic Designer (or similar role)
• A portfolio of completed design projects that shows a variety of mediums and purposes
• Intermediate-to-advanced proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
• Intermediate-to-advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook
• Ability to establish design conventions from scratch, as well as to work within rigid already-established requirements
• Ability to meet deadlines and collaborate with stakeholders
• Bonus: Web Design, Photography, Videography Experience
