Brand Blvd is a dynamic and rapidly growing branded promotional merchandise agency
committed to helping Canadian and American businesses build and enhance their brand
presence through quality branded merch, swag kits, online stores, and creative design
services. We specialize in providing innovative solutions that leave a lasting impact on our clients and their target audiences.

We seek a Full-Time Graphic Designer with Merchandise Production and E-Commerce Experience to join our remote team. This role focuses on creating impactful
designs for branded merchandise, including add-on packaging (boxes, postcards, tags), as well as online e-comm stores for our clients to easily manage and sell their merchandise, while maintaining the high standards of Brand Blvd’s and our client’s brand identities. You’ll also play a crucial role in production design, ensuring the designs you create, and client-provided artwork is prepared for production with accuracy and attention to detail. Additionally, support our marketing team with graphic design as needed.

Responsibilities:

Creative Conceptualization

• Develop design concepts that align with brand guidelines and project goals.
• Design visuals for branded merchandise, packaging and print materials (ex.

postcards, boxes, tags), and digital applications such as web banners and email
graphics.

• Provide professional design solutions to enhance corporate branding for Brand Blvd

and our clients.

Graphic Design Execution

• Using Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, and occasionally InDesign),

following the laws of design, including typography, colour theory, composition, etc.

• Develop designs for branded merchandise, print materials, logos/branding, and

digital applications.

• Adapt client-provided artwork for various applications, including screen printing,

laser engraving, embroidery, patches, and more.

• Deliver production-ready files while maintaining our high-quality standards.
• As needed: Update pitch decks and other templates in Canva, and assist with

Mailchimp campaign design as needed.

Production Design

• Preflight client-provided artwork and logos to prepare them for print on various

promotional products, following vendor’s artwork templates and guidelines.

• Create art proofs with mocked-up product images to give clients a clear visual

representation of their order.

• Match artwork colors (RGB, CMYK, HEX) to Pantone, using the Pantone Matching

System, to ensure color accuracy in production.

• Redraw raster (JPG, PNG) logos and artwork to vector, using Adobe Illustrator, when

required.

• Collaborate with our customer service team to provide design solutions for

production issues.

E-Commerce Design Execution

• Build, design and maintain online stores on our industry-specific platforms

(BrightStores/OMG, Inksoft, and Promobullit/Uducat).

• Create visually appealing, user-friendly store interfaces with advanced search,

filtering options, and financial reporting capabilities.

• Design banners, graphics, and images optimized for e-commerce.

File Management:

• Maintain very organized design files and folders, adhering to Brand Blvd’s preferred

structures.

• Manage files using Microsoft Office, OneDrive, and SharePoint for efficient file

storage and collaboration.

Project Management

• Organize and prioritize multiple projects with overlapping deadlines.
• Ensure timely delivery without compromising on quality.

Collaboration

• Work closely with the Senior Graphic Designer, Program Manager, Director of

Marketing, and other team members on diverse projects.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Portfolio: All applicants must include a portfolio showcasing diverse design

projects and demonstrated ability; ideally including branding, merchandise design,
packaging, vector design and design for e-commerce or digital applications.
Applicants without a portfolio, or at least a few samples of their relative work, will
not be considered.

• Education: Minimum 2 years of post-secondary education in Graphic Design.
• Experience: Ideally minimum 2-3 years of proven graphic design experience,

preferably in retail, branded merchandise, apparel, packaging design and ecommerce.

• Software Proficiency: Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign),

Canva, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, OneDrive, Sharepoint).

• E-Commerce Knowledge: Experience with platforms similar to our specific ecomm

platforms (ex. Shopify, WooCommerce) or similar is highly valued. Bonus
points for familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Skills:

• Exceptional attention to detail and quality control.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with overlapping timelines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with creative and

non-creative team members.

• Resourceful problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
• Knowledge of print production processes and digital design best practices.

Bonus Points:

• Experience with Google Analytics and reporting tools.
• Familiarity with Canva.
• Familiarity with production methods such as embroidery, laser engraving, and

direct-to-garment printing.
