About The Role
As a Project Manager in the Habitat Delivery (Land) team, you will be responsible for delivering habitat creation and enhancement projects safely, on-time and to budget. This is an exciting role for a forward-thinking Project Manager where you would work closely with our ecologists and land managers to plan and deliver habitat creation works across your region. Works would include creation and enhancement of a range of habitats including, woodland and scrub, species rich grassland, wetland, and associated infrastructure works.

- Working alongside EB ecologists and land managers as part of ‘project teams’ with responsibility for the delivery of sites
- Leading on the procurement and awarding of works to suitably vetted contractors and suppliers
- Management of contractors and delivery partners
- Planning and programming of works to ensure they are completed to the highest quality, to an agreed timescale, taking account of seasonal constraints, and within budget
- Undertake quality audits and be responsible for signing off completed works
- Maintaining high quality relationships with landowners, their contractors, and other stakeholders
Requirements
What we need from you:
- Educated to a degree level in a relevant subject. Or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge of the principles and practice of habitat creation/ restoration and management
- A track record of delivering nature recovery projects
- Experience of working directly with farmers and landowners, in a professional capacity
- Experience in rural land management
- Strong interpersonal skills with both internal and external stakeholders
- Self-motivated
- Ability to work as part of team
- Strong written communication skills
- Good financial skills and experience in budget setting, cost management and forecasting
- A Health and Safety qualification is desirable but not essential e.g. NEBOSH/IOSH
- Full UK clean driving license and willingness to travel for regional site visits and events
