Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to lead our hackathon initiatives. As the Senior Hackathon Lead, you will be responsible for organizing and executing hackathons that foster creativity, collaboration, and innovation within our organization and the broader community. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to plan, coordinate, and execute successful hackathons from ideation to implementation.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Hackathon Planning:
- Lead the strategic planning of real-time hackathons, including defining objectives, themes, and goals.
- Identify and secure necessary resources, including sponsors, judges, mentors, and prizes.
- Coordinate the logistics of hackathons, such as venues, catering, and technology support.
2. Hackathon Execution:
- Create a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere during hackathons to inspire participants.
- Manage the schedule, ensuring that all planned activities and events run smoothly.
- Address any technical or logistical issues in real-time to minimize disruptions.
3. Team and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Foster strong relationships with internal teams, stakeholders, and sponsors.
- Communicate hackathon updates, results, and feedback to relevant parties.
- Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to promote hackathons.
4. Mentoring and Support:
- Provide guidance and support to hackathon participants as needed.
- Facilitate mentorship opportunities by connecting participants with experts.
- Help troubleshoot technical challenges and provide resources for skill development.
5. Evaluation and Follow-up:
- Coordinate judging processes, ensuring a fair and transparent evaluation.
- Gather and analyze feedback from participants and judges to improve future hackathons.
- Maintain a database of hackathon projects and results for future reference.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Computer Science, Engineering, or Business preferred).
- At least 4 years of Proven experience in organizing and leading hackathons, innovation challenges, or similar events.
- Strong understanding of technology trends and emerging platforms.
- Excellent project management skills, including planning, budgeting, and execution.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to think creatively and foster innovation.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in using event management and collaboration tools.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required during hackathons.
