About the role

The head of API Acceleration team will be interacting very closely with the global portfolio lead and the local country manager to insure the alignment of the global strategy and the local business.

He / She will -also be working closely with different entities inside and outside the organization, including (but not limited to): marketing, sales, and operations teams. As well as the technical lead, the product owners, and the developers.

He/She will be leading the split of activities with the Newco Lot1 SI Partner and in charge of ensuring the upskilling of these team and the quality of deliveries.

He / she is required to undertake the following responsibility:
– Lead the API acceleration program within Orange Business, which includes:
– Leading team of senior architects who are dedicated to the implementation of the “API-First” approach within the whole organization.
– Leading the development of “APIs for business” product which consists of generic customer-centric APIs aimed to expose all the OB functions to customers in an easy and unified manner.
– Acting as a main stakeholder for the implementation of the API gateway from an Orange Business perspective.
– Setting the vision / mission / KPIs for the API transformation within the organization and outside with the Si partner.
– Setting up a clear API catalogue with Digital Marketing
– Changing the CTIO and Orange Business culture to fully understand the benefits of “API-First”.
– Guiding the different projects on the correct implementation of API-first and the Orange recommendations for APIs.

– Budgeting and Financial Management: Understanding of budgeting processes and financial management to ensure programs stay within budget.
– Familiarity with Agile, Scrum and SAFe methodologies for managing complex projects and adapting to changing requirements.
– Proficiency in cloud and distributed systems design patterns (Microservices, REST, SOA, OpenAPI, API Gateway ex. APIGEE, KONG, Mulesoft)
– Understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF), especially telecom (TMForum)
– Good knowledge in programming languages (node.js, React/Angular, shell, SQL, NoSQL)
– Experience with service delivery process (ITSM/ITIL)
– Knowledge of code versioning tools (GitLab/GitHub)

Requirements:

Educational background:
– B.Sc. in computer science or equivalent
– Fluent in English, French is a plus.

Professional Experience:
– 10+ years’ experience in the IT industry.
– 5+ years’ experience in management.
