The Role:
As Head of Business Development, you will play a key role in driving the growth and success of our recruitment services. You will be responsible for building and managing relationships with senior executives and HR leaders across new and existing clients, identifying business opportunities, and promoting our recruitment solutions to meet the talent acquisition needs of Australian organisations.
Key Responsibilities:
- New Business Development: Proactively source and pursue new business opportunities by identifying potential clients, building relationships, and presenting recruitment solutions to meet their needs;
- Client Relationship Management: Manage and nurture existing client accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and identifying opportunities for further engagement and growth;
- Market Research: Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to identify emerging opportunities and market demands;
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement strategies to meet sales targets, negotiate contracts, and close deals that align with company goals;
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Head of Customer Engagement and the CEO to ensure client requirements run smoothly;
- Reporting & Forecasting: Provide regular reports [Monday.com] on business development activities, sales performance, and market insights at weekly meetings.
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience (3+ years) in business development, sales, or account management, ideally within the recruitment, staffing, professional services or HR industry;
- Proven success in engaging senior executives and crafting tailored solutions that address client needs;
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills;
- Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with senior stakeholders and key decision-makers;
- Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving business growth;
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability;
- A consultative, relationship-building approach to sales, with exceptional communication skills.
