The Opportunity

Working from the Sydney CBD office within a dynamic business with a relaxed and professional culture, you will be an integral part of a team focused on delivering the best possible solutions for clients.

The Head of Client Services plays a pivotal role in the Senior Management Team. This role involves leading the Client Services team and managing its day-to-day operations across Australia and the Philippines. The primary objective is to ensure timely, high-quality, and compliant completion of required tasks.

The Candidate

Ideally, you will have 8+ years of experience in a similar role within a financial planning firm. You will also demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, strong time management skills, and a proven track record of meeting deadlines consistently.

Key Areas of Proficiency Required:

• Strong working knowledge of Xplan
• Support Financial Advisers and Associates in delivering exceptional client service.
• Ensure the business adheres to legislative obligations for client service.
• Maintain client file notes, documentation, and records to the highest standard.
• Provide training to ensure all staff are appropriately skilled.
• Collaborate with other teams on cross-functional issues and projects as needed.
• Conduct regular reviews, performance management, and development plans for the team.
• Understand the processes for New Business Applications for Superannuation, Pension, and Investment applications including investment of clients’ funds
• Process additional investments and withdrawals as requested by clients and advisers.
• Manage applications for Life, TPD, Income Protection, and Trauma Insurance, from initial application to policy completion.
• Oversee the preparation of documents and reports requested by clients.
• Ensure client records in Xplan are updated and maintained accurately.
• Ensure that the team can confidently liaise with various superannuation and insurance product providers
• Maintain and enforce compliance standards across all operations.

• Significant experience (8+ years) in a senior client service or operations role within the financial services industry
• Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing teams
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think strategically
• Proficiency in data analysis and the use of technology to drive process improvements
• Thorough understanding of the financial services regulatory environment and industry best practices
• Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (e.g. business, finance, or a related discipline)
