We’re seeking a Head of Property Management to oversee our operations across 5 offices, heading up a professional, well-established team. If you thrive in a supportive, energetic culture and are passionate about providing guidance and structure, this role could be perfect for you.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support a team of 6 Senior Property Managers, 2 Assistant Property Managers, an Accounts Team, and a Business Development (BDM) team.
  • Provide ongoing training and mentorship to your team, ensuring continuous professional development.
  • Facilitate the effective use of all property management systems to optimize team efficiency and performance. (Pme, IRE, IM, FLK)
  • Prepare for and chair monthly team meetings and team-building activities to promote a collaborative and positive work environment.
  • Actively contribute to weekly leadership meetings, providing insights and solutions.
  • Prepare and present monthly financial and KPI reports to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Handle Human Resources functions, including recruitment and staff development in conjunction with group HR Manager.
  • Support team leaders in their leadership roles, fostering cohesion and strong communication across the department.
  • Oversee the updating of company policies and procedures to maintain compliance and best practices.
  • Assist the BDM team and ensure seamless business growth, in collaboration with Our group Sales Manager.
  • Resolve conflicts and manage client complaints effectively, maintaining high standards of customer service.
  • Serve as the key liaison between our head office and the property management teams.
  • Step in to assist the property management team on an ad hoc basis when needed.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in Real Estate or Property Management.
  • Proven people management experience, with a history of successfully managing teams and individuals.
  • Strong working knowledge of NSW Residential Tenancy legislation, NCAT, and laws governing property and tenancy.
  • Business Development experience, with an understanding of growing property portfolios and client bases.
  • A solid understanding of trust accounting, regulatory compliance, and supervision guidelines.
  • Class 2 real estate license (minimum), with a willingness to obtain a Class 1 license if not already held.
  • Be prepared to travel, visiting regional offices weekly, have own car and valid drivers licence.
