Head of Trade Marketing – The Travel Corporation
Role Overview
The Head of Trade Marketing will lead the development and execution of trade marketing strategies to drive sales, enhance brand visibility, and support business growth. Working closely with sales, brand, and product teams, this role ensures impactful trade campaigns and strong partnerships with trade channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement trade marketing strategies that align with business objectives, focusing on driving revenue growth and enhancing brand visibility across trade and retail channels.
- Campaign Execution: Plan and oversee impactful trade marketing campaigns, including new product launches, seasonal promotions, and trade events, ensuring they meet business goals and deadlines.
- Partnerships: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key trade partners and maximise product placement and promotional opportunities.
- Collaboration: Partner with internal teams—sales, brand, and product—to ensure cohesive messaging and consistent execution across all trade marketing activities.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a high-performing trade marketing team, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Insights and Analysis: Monitor campaign performance, analyse sales data, and assess market trends to provide actionable insights and recommend future trade marketing improvements.
Skills and Experience
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 7+ years’ experience in trade marketing or brand management, including leadership roles.
- Proven success in managing trade campaigns and driving sales growth.
- Strong analytical and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and trade marketing tools.
Desirable:
- Experience in the travel industry.
- Knowledge of digital marketing and eCommerce strategies.
