Job Title: Senior Academic Manager-IB

Experience: Minimum 10 years in IB School

Position Type: Part-time (WFH)

Working Days: Mon to Sat (1st & 3rd Sat will be Off)

Working Hours : 3-4 hrs/day OR weekly (minimum 10 hrs)

Job Summary:

The Senior Academic Manager – IB Curriculum will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and management of the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum across all grade levels. This role requires strong leadership, curriculum expertise, and a deep understanding of the IB framework to ensure high-quality academic standards are met. The position involves collaboration with teachers to foster an optimal learning environment aligned with IB philosophy.

Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum Design & Implementation:

• Lead the development and implementation of the IB curriculum across all subjects and grade levels.
• Ensure alignment of curriculum with IB standards and guidelines.
• Oversee and support the integration of inquiry-based learning approaches and interdisciplinary teaching.

Teacher Training & Development:

• Organize and conduct professional development workshops for teachers on IB teaching methodologies, assessment practices, and curriculum updates.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to IB teachers, ensuring they effectively deliver the curriculum.
• Facilitate collaboration between teachers to enhance the sharing of best practices.

Academic Quality Assurance:

• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the IB curriculum through regular assessments, observations, and feedback.
• Implement strategies to improve academic performance and student outcomes.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to IB policies and accreditation requirements.

Leadership & Team Management:

• Manage a team of teachers.
• Lead regular academic meetings to discuss curriculum updates, challenges, and strategic goals.

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Education, Curriculum Development, or a related field.
• IB certification or relevant training in the IB curriculum (MYP or DP) or CIE.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in education, with at least 3-5 years in a senior academic or curriculum management role.
• Strong knowledge of IB principles, standards, and best practices.
• Proven experience in teacher training, curriculum development, and academic leadership.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working in an international school or multi-cultural environment.
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead, inspire, and manage teams effectively.
• Familiarity with digital tools and platforms used in education.
