Are you a seasoned manager in HSE related topics within offshore grid projects?
Turner Lovell is searching for an experienced HSE Project Manager to join a global leader in the energy sector. In this key role, you will oversee the development and execution of Health & Safety, Environmental (HSE) strategies for large-scale construction and commissioning projects.
You will ensure that all project sites comply with statutory, regulatory, and contractual HSE requirements while continuously improving site safety and reducing environmental impact. This is a fantastic opportunity to drive sustainable and safe project execution in a multinational environment.
Your Role
- Develop and implement the Site Environmental, Health & Safety Management System, ensuring full compliance with local laws and client expectations.
- Collaborate with contractors and partners to align EHS strategies across all project phases and locations.
- Manage programs for environmental protection, hazardous waste management, air emissions, and wastewater control.
- Ensure site-wide adherence to client’s EHS standards, directives, and procedures.
- Oversee risk assessments and method statements, ensuring they are communicated and implemented at all sites.
- Lead incident reporting and investigation processes, ensuring timely actions to prevent recurrence.
- Conduct audits and inspections to monitor subcontractor EHS compliance.
- Develop and maintain the project’s HSE Governance and execution plans.
Responsibilities
- Ensure legal compliance with HSE and security requirements across all project sites.
- Monitor the effectiveness of safety programs, recommending improvements to reduce accidents and incidents.
- Conduct audits to ensure subcontractor adherence to contractual and regulatory HSE requirements.
- Advise site management on any legal or HSE concerns related to project decisions.
- Report and analyze all site HSE events, including accidents, near-misses, and property damage, to prevent future occurrences.
- Support continuous improvement in site safety through regular HSE inspections and action plans.
Ideal Candidate
- University degree in an industrial or technical field with an HSE specialization.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing HSE on construction sites.
- Proficient understanding of European and international HSE regulations.
- Experience with certification programs such as ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
- Strong problem-solving, root cause identification, and communication skills.
- Experience working in a multicultural and matrix organization.
- High proficiency in English (oral and written); additional European languages are a plus.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
