We are offering this rare opportunity to lead a collaborative and high-performing People, Safety and Performance team. In this role, you will drive human resource strategies that empower individuals, teams and the organisation.
About the Role:
This leadership position encompasses the full scope of human resources, including:
- Employee Relations and Engagement: Supporting managers, supervisors and employees with fostering a positive, inclusive and high performing culture.
- Leadership Development: Mentoring and guiding the Human Resources team to develop their skills, capabilities and deliverables.
- Expert Advisory: Interpretation of industrial instruments and providing timely, expert advise on employee relations and legislative matters.
- Strategic People Initiatives: Implementing innovative, best practice human resource strategies to support organisational goals and engagement.
- Collaboration: Partnering with other business units to deliver integrated, impactful and supported programmes and initiatives.
About You:
You will be passionate about people and their potential, with a proven track record on delivering successful human resource strategies. As a natural leader, you inspire your team whilst ensuring your advice is transparent, evidence based, friendly and timely.
Your skills will include:
- Extensive HR Experience: Demonstrated success in HR leadership roles and implementing strategic people initiatives.
- Relevant Qualifications: A degree qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or similar
- Industrial Relations Expertise: Strong understanding of industrial frameworks and advising on complex employee relations matters.
- Exceptional Communication Skills: The ability to communicate, influence, encourage and build rapport with all stakeholders.
- People Focused Mindset: A commitment to delivering outcomes that benefit both the organisation and the employee.
- Local Government Experience: While not essential, experience in public sector and regulatory frameworks will be highly regarded.
