Irs Mbi Clearance Project Manager (Remote)

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Project Manager with IRS MBI Clearance to lead and oversee various projects within our IT department in a remote capacity. This pivotal role requires a blend of technical aptitude and exceptional leadership skills to ensure that projects are completed effectively, on schedule, and within budget, while promoting a culture of collaboration and positivity among team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and direct technology projects that support corporate transformation objectives and facilitate daily business operations.
• Lead the lifecycle of small to medium-sized projects, or collaborate within a project team for larger initiatives.
• Engage consistently with IT engineering resources, management, and business stakeholders to foster transparency and ensure timely project delivery.
• Assume full accountability for maintaining client-approved project schedules, motivating team members to deliver high-quality results.
• Act as the primary liaison between technical teams and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and project alignment.
• Oversee daily tasks for both internal and external project team members, promoting efficient collaboration.
• Collaborate with diverse functional and technical teams to ensure accurate project implementations.
• Execute quality assurance measures on project outputs to uphold high standards.
• Deliver regular status reports to the Project Management Office (PMO) and relevant stakeholders.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans and risk management strategies.
• Monitor project costs and schedules, implementing corrective actions as necessary to align with budgetary and quality expectations.
• Apply established Project Management (PM) and Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies throughout your work.
• Contribute to the enhancement of project standards within the corporate repository and support proposal development.
• Flexibility to travel up to 50% may be required, with additional duties assigned as needed.

Required Skills

• Proficient in industry-standard Project Management tools such as Smartsheet, MS Project, Jira, Confluence, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and OneNote.
• Familiarity with various project methodologies, including Agile, DevOps, PMP, and ITIL v4.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Proven expertise in managing both personnel and processes, with a keen focus on deadlines, budgets, and project profitability.
• Experience leading technical projects across diverse technological environments such as Windows, Unix, Linux, and Solaris.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of project management experience.
• Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP) or as a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) is mandatory.
• Demonstrated experience managing small to medium technical projects in mixed technology settings.
