My growing client are seeking an experienced IT Manager to oversee the transformation, management and administration of the organisation’s IT systems, with a focus on Microsoft technologies and third-party applications.

You will be responsible for managing vendor relationships, and ensuring the efficient and secure operation of our technology infrastructure by liaising with the IT professionals of the Business Units and eventually hiring a small IT management central team.

This role will sit at group level, with four business units underneath.

Key Responsibilities:

* Leading the Transformation of key IT Infrastructure:

Secure agreement with the BUs about the future of the Infrastructure. Oversee IT transformation projects end-to-end, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and according to specifications. Coordinating resources, manage risks, and communicate progress to stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.

* Microsoft Systems Administration:

Overseeing the administration of Microsoft technologies, such Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange Server, SQL Server, and SharePoint. Ensuring the stability, security, and performance of these systems through proactive monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

* Third-Party Systems Administration:

Managing the administration of third-party applications and systems critical to business wide operations, such as ERP systems, CRM systems, collaboration tools, cybersecurity solutions, and other specialised software. Collaborating with vendors and internal stakeholders to optimise system configurations, resolve issues, and implement upgrades.

* Vendor Management

Developing and maintaining strong relationships with technology vendors and service providers. Negotiating contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), and pricing to ensure cost-effective solutions that meet all business needs. Monitor vendor performance, resolve disputes, and drive continuous improvement in service delivery.

* Strategic Planning

Work closely with senior management to develop IT strategies, roadmaps, and budgets aligned with business objectives. Identify opportunities to leverage technology for competitive advantage, improve operational efficiency, and mitigating cybersecurity risks.

* Security and Compliance

Implement and enforce IT security policies, procedures, and controls to protect our organisation’s data and systems from cyber threats and regulatory compliance requirements. Stay current on industry best practices and emerging threats to continually enhance our security posture.

* Technical Support:

Serve as a point of escalation for complex technical issues and provide hands-on support as needed. Collaborate with the IT support team to ensure timely resolution of user requests and incidents while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key requirements:

* Proven experience 5 years in IT management roles, with a focus on Microsoft systems administration, third-party application support and administration, and vendor management.

* Strong technical proficiency in Microsoft technologies, including Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange Server, SQL Server, and SharePoint.

* Experience managing third-party applications such as ERP systems, CRM systems, and cybersecurity solutions.

* Demonstrated success in negotiating vendor contracts, managing vendor relationships, and optimising vendor performance.

* Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.

* Solid understanding of IT security principles, compliance requirements, and risk management practices.

* Stakeholder management and board level communication experience to build consensus around the future of the group IT platform.

* Transformation programs experience, including risk management, planning, execution, and stakeholder communication.

* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.

* Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or ITIL certifications are a plus.

* Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field also strongly desired.
