It Project Manager Cybersecurity Focus (Remote)

We are looking for an accomplished IT Project Manager to become a key member of our cybersecurity team, dedicated to supporting sensitive national security initiatives for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). This pivotal role is essential to the protection of critical infrastructure while delivering secure IT solutions that resonate with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Spearhead and manage several cybersecurity-oriented IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and align with the organization’s strategic goals.
• Integrate comprehensive cybersecurity measures into IT projects to safeguard critical infrastructure and mitigate risks effectively.
• Monitor project milestones, provide updates on progress, and effectively communicate the significance of projects to stakeholders.
• Foster collaboration with departmental teams, business unit leaders, and the project management office to achieve measurable outcomes.
• Create and uphold detailed project documentation, including management plans, communication strategies, risk mitigation strategies, and configuration management documents.

Required Skills

• In-depth understanding of IT architecture models, system life cycle management, and cloud computing.
• Proficiency in conducting capability and requirements analysis, aligning technology solutions with business needs.
• Excellent communication, team-building, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Skilled in identifying and managing risks, performing audits, and ensuring compliance with service-level agreements (SLAs).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, and Agile methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, operational planning, and cybersecurity principles.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of hands-on experience in IT project management, particularly in delivering cloud-enabling capabilities.
• Proven track record in project oversight, risk management, and team collaboration.
• An Associate’s degree in a technical field coupled with 10 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience.
• A technical background related to classified cybersecurity operations is highly desirable.
• PMP and Agile certifications are strongly preferred.

Compensation And Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from (155,000 to )190,000 annually. We provide a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees, including options for spouse and family coverage at a subsidized rate. Benefits include:
