Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled IT Project Manager to lead and manage technology projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of project management methodologies and will be responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives. This role requires excellent analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Duties
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects, ensuring adherence to project management methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile, and SAFe.
- Analyze project requirements and develop detailed project plans that outline tasks, timelines, resources, and budgets.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders, team members, and management to ensure alignment on project goals and expectations.
- Monitor project progress and performance metrics, adjusting plans as necessary to meet changing requirements or address potential risks.
- Implement disaster recovery plans to ensure continuity of services in the event of unforeseen issues.
- Utilize tools such as TFS for tracking progress and managing project documentation throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Conduct regular meetings with team members to review project status, address challenges, and celebrate milestones.
Skills
- Proven 5-10 years of experience in project management with a strong understanding of various methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, and SAFe.
- Knowledge of project management tools and techniques (e.g., PPM, MS Projects, JIRA, Visio, Agile/Scrum, Waterfall etc.)
- PMP certification or working towards.
- Proficient in analyzing complex data sets to inform decision-making processes.
- Ability to vaticinate potential risks and develop mitigation strategies proactively.
- Familiarity with disaster recovery planning and implementation within IT environments.
- Experience using TFS or similar tools for project tracking and documentation management.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration across teams.
