It Secops Engineer (Remote)

We are seeking an experienced IT SecOps Engineer with 3+ years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with the latest security operations and IT infrastructure technologies. This role involves managing and enhancing our security posture, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, and responding to security incidents.

Job Responsibilities –

● Monitor and analyze security alerts and incidents to identify potential threats.

● Conduct regular security audits and assessments to ensure compliance with standards such as ISO 27001, GDPR, and NIST. SOC2, HIPAA.

● Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and guidelines.

● Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to evaluate the security of

systems and applications.

● Respond to security incidents, conduct investigations, and implement corrective actions.

● Collaborate with other departments to ensure security controls are integrated into all business processes.

● Perform risk assessments and impact analysis for new projects and initiatives.

● Lead security initiatives and projects independently.

● Stay updated with the latest security trends, threats, and technologies.

● Provide security training and awareness programs to employees.

● Maintain detailed records of security incidents, audits, and compliance activities.

● Prepare and present reports on security metrics, compliance status, and risk assessments to senior management.

Candidate Required Skills –

● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

● 3+ years of experience in IT security operations.

● Strong hands-on experience with security tools and technologies such as firewalls,

intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEM, and endpoint protection.

● Proficiency in conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.

● In-depth knowledge of security standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001, GDPR, NIST, and others.

● Experience in developing and implementing security policies and procedures.

● Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

● Ability to lead projects and work independently.

● Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or similar are preferred.
