The Role: Individual Contributor External Facing Role

Roles/Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of complex software applications using Java J2EE and Spring Framework.
• Supervise the implementation of microservices architecture with Quarkus and ensure seamless integration.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers to foster a collaborative team environment.
• Ensure the efficient use of Hibernate for ORM and lead database interactions effectively.
• Develop and maintain RESTful and SOAP-based web services to support various business functions.
• Implement and run containerized applications using Azure AKS for scalable deployment.
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure consistency to best practices and coding standards.
• Fix and resolve complex technical issues ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to the continuous improvement of the technical stack.
• Ensure the security performance and scalability of applications through thorough testing and optimization.
• Document technical specifications and maintain comprehensive project documentation for future reference.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation within the team.

Qualifications:

• Possess a strong understanding of Java J2EE and Spring Framework with hands-on experience of around 6-10 years.
• Demonstrate expertise in Quarkus for building efficient microservices.
• Have in-depth knowledge of Hibernate for effective ORM management.
• Show proficiency in developing and consuming SOAP and RESTful web services.
• Exhibit experience in deploying and running applications on Azure AKS.
• Bring domain expertise in Payer understanding the specific requirements and challenges.
• Display excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to solve complex issues.
• Possess strong communication skills to effectively coll

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted till 10/4/2024.

The annual salary for this role is between $60K-$105K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
