Mackessy Technology is a leading provider of information systems to the automotive and insurance industries. Based in Limerick, Ireland, we focus primarily on solutions for some of Ireland’s leading car insurers, as well as used car dealers, vehicle repairers, and claims assessors throughout the island of Ireland. Our technology is developed internally and is designed to increase the efficiency and transparency of our clients’ business activities.

We are hiring junior developer(s) for our Limerick office. This is a hybrid, in-office and work from home position. The job position involves working with our in-house development team to create innovative solutions and maintain existing production systems in PHP and MySQL.

You will be part of an initiative team to rewrite our web application to Vue.js and Laravel API backend. We are using the latest version of Vue.js, Vuex, Laravel, Apollo GraphQL, MySQL.

You will work through the full life-cycle of our projects:

• Analysis of clients’ requirements
• Design of the solution
• Implementation
• Testing (writing and using tests)

Role Requirements

• BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Level 7 or above)
• Web Development skillset e.g.
• PHP
• Laravel (PHP framework) is preferable
• HTML5
• CSS3
• JavaScript
• Vue.js
• MySQL
• Other useful technology knowledge such as GIT, Jira etc.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in web development.

• Fluent spoken and written English
