Role Description
The Key Account Manager – East is responsible for managing both national and regional key accounts covering the Western portion of the U.S. Other key responsibilities include creating and managing retail programs and initiatives that support the strategic goals of the company and the Vice President of Sale’s directives as well as executing and tracking retail initiatives designed by Marketing and Executive Management.
Main responsibilities include a primary role in implementing strategies, tactics, and programs optimized for assigned accounts and partnering with our broker to obtain and execute. The candidate must be effective in building and selling these programs to decision makers.  The role will require management account budgets that focus on the advancement of key KPIs: price, promotion execution, and quality distribution. This role also requires the ability to create win-win business solutions that resonate with the retailer and the consumer. This role will require the analysis of syndicated and internal data to be used in creating effective retailer presentations and strategies.
Qualifications
- Represent Gorgie in the marketplace with passion, enthusiasm, and a positive approachable attitude and demeanor.
- Creation, interpretation, and distribution of insightful business reports to create actionable retail initiatives.
- Management of the distribution build according to priorities.
- Partner with and align company objectives with our broker network.
- Assist in creating Gorgie’s retail best practices, such as pricing strategies, promotional cadence, and display and shelf best practices.
- Construct annual reviews and joint business plans for assigned retailers.
- Lead a team of Area Sales Managers in the territory, including the creation of key retailer initiatives and individual KPIs.
- Manage crowd sourced retail audit process and utilization of this data by Sales Team.
- Provide regular reporting to the Vice President of Sales as to how assigned accounts are tracking against created initiatives, as well as financial summaries of sales performance.
- Create distribution goals across all packages with retailers.
- Manage planning and reporting of revenue, trade spending, 3rd party resource planning, package distribution and volume forecasting for Western U.S. retailers.
