The Role
As our Key Account Manager, you’ll spend 70% of your time developing new business and 30% managing current accounts, focusing on building strong, long-lasting relationships with customers. You’ll play a key role in our client’s success in the Australian market.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business development while nurturing and expanding existing client relationships.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities.
- Gain a deep understanding of customer needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their objectives.
- Ensure timely delivery of products and services, resolving issues to maintain trust and satisfaction.
- Partner with internal teams (QA, R&D, etc.) to deliver exceptional results and meet client expectations.
- Prepare progress reports and forecasts to share insights with stakeholders.
What You’ll Bring
- 4+ years of sales/key account management experience, ideally within the industrial bakery, food service and / or ice cream manufacturing sector.
- Proven success selling semi-manufactured products like chocolate, margarine, or UHT cream.
- A strategic mindset and tenacity to independently open new accounts and solve problems creatively.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in strategic, high-value business pursuits.
