SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

Responsible for growing and maintaining strong relationships with key accounts. Work with sales teams to increase sales and productivity for the entire Mitra-9 beverage portfolio.

This position will have the ability to grow and have line of sight on all markets within the United States, however there will be a strong emphasis placed on growing the portfolio in the Southeast portion of the country.

The Key Account Manager has an essential role within the Sales Department and works closely with the National DSD Manager in the development and execution of customer specific programming. This role will establish a new book of business for the Mitra-9 Brand and will be responsible for creating a long-term strategy to outperform the market and grow share, ensuring key account department success.

This person will gain new distribution, grow current distribution, execute sales strategy, develop relationships and be the main point person for the growing Mitra-9 beverage portfolio in chain accounts. The KAM will be responsible for attaining new local and regional account customers, while owning and driving the execution plan, promotional funding, and pricing for these customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Manage Growing Chain business; set and monitor sales targets, coordinate with National DSD Manager to quarterly/yearly objectives.
  • Manage P&L
  • Work in tandem with field personnel; establish customer specific assortment, pricing, promotional strategies, etc.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and key distributor personnel to identify and address specific needs.
  • Act as the liaison between customers and internal sales teams ensuring client’s requirements are met.
  • Identify and attract prospective strategic key account customers.
  • Ensure brand consistency.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and suggest new ways to increase sales from new trends happening in the market.
  • Liaise with sales and marketing departments to set and implement strategies for new products.
  • Other duties may be assigned, as needed or required.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proven work experience as a Regional Account Manager (within the Beverage space or Alcohol space is highly preferred)
  • Solid business acumen in sales and customer service
  • Experience in negotiating
  • In-depth understanding of the overall beverage industry
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills (Microsoft 365 experience required)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to lead presentations, and ability to motivate others outside the organization
  • Availability to travel
  • BS Degree Required
