Key Account Manager – Packaging Technologies

The Key Account Manager plays a critical role in driving the organization’s success by developing and nurturing key customer relationships, execute effective strategies, and ensuring the company’s competitive edge in a dynamic market. This role demands a combination of industry expertise, self-leadership, commercial excellence approach, project management capabilities and safe approach.

This is permanent and full-time position to be based in Tuscany (Italy), preferably in the Lucca area.

Accountabilities:

  • Execute, implements, reviews and adjusts Strategic Key Account Management strategies
  • Present Archroma value proposition and link it to each business opportunity in the Strategic Accounts
  • Ensure complete sales cycle execution (survey, product, equipment, service, value capturing)
  • Understand and capture technical gaps (performances, equipment service)
  • Network with BDM and Product Management to find the right information which are available
  • Be in contact with equipment provider to answer questions from customers
  • Organize and lead equipment selection and appropriate service related
  • Ability to identify gaps and create value for customer through Archroma proposal
  • Create technical and commercial proposal
  • Run trial evaluation plan
  • Summarize and share trials results

Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Significant experience (typically +5 years) in sales, account management, or business development within the paper industry (packaging and tissue industry preferred).
  • Strong understanding of the packaging and tissue industries, including market dynamics and customer needs.
  • Proven track record of successful strategic account management and business growth.
  • Ability to build relationships and create solutions in the customer organization at mills level. Project management approach and safety-first mindset.
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization as a team player, strong self-leadership.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • High problem-solving competences and capability to resolve conflicts.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong oral and written knowledge of English
