Senior DevOps Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure on AWS.
Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment processes.
Collaborate with development teams to ensure CI/CD pipelines are efficient and reliable.
Monitor system performance, availability, and security, and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Implement and manage security policies, standards, and best practices in AWS environments.
Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IAC) using tools such as Terraform, Cloud Formation, or similar.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior DevOps engineers.
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Participate in on-call rotations and respond to production incidents as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 7 to 12 years of experience in a DevOps role, with at least 3 years focused on AWS.
Strong experience with AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, Cloud Watch, and others.
Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or similar.
Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Knowledge of networking principles, security best practices, and monitoring tools.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
