Role Description As our Lead UI Designer & Frontend Engineer at Betwixt, you’ll shape the future of human-AI interaction through intuitive, beautiful interfaces. This full-time remote role combines creative design thinking with technical expertise to craft seamless user experiences. You’ll work at the intersection of AI and design, leveraging AI tools to accelerate development while maintaining high standards for user experience and accessibility.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of our product interfaces, ensuring consistency and excellence across all user touchpoints
• Collaborate with AI engineers to create intuitive interfaces for complex AI systems
• Build and maintain a scalable component library using modern frontend frameworks
• Utilize AI tools effectively in both design and development workflows
• Champion user-centered design principles across the organization
• Mentor team members in UI/UX best practices and frontend development

Qualifications

• Proven experience with modern frontend frameworks (React, Vue, or similar)
• Strong portfolio demonstrating UI/UX design skills and systematic thinking
• Experience using AI tools in design and development (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Midjourney)
• Deep understanding of design systems, component libraries, and modern CSS practices
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and performance optimization
• Experience with design tools (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite)
• Strong understanding of user research and testing methodologies
• Ability to write clean, maintainable code and review others’ work
• Excellence in cross-functional collaboration and communication
• Experience working in fast-paced startup environments

Compensation We are offering a competitive equity package with the following vesting schedule:

• Initial Vesting Period (First 90 Days):
• Upon commencement of employment, you will undergo a 90-day probationary period.
• At the conclusion of this probationary period, assuming satisfactory performance, you will fully vest in 10% of your allocated shares.
• Quarterly Vesting (Quarters 1-9):
• Starting from the end of the initial 90-day period, shares will vest at a rate of 10% per quarter.
• Each quarter, you will receive an additional 10% of your allocated shares, provided you remain in continuous employment with the Company.
• Final Vesting (Quarter 10):
• At the end of the 10th quarter, you will receive the remaining 10% of your allocated shares, resulting in full vesting. Once capital is raised, we will provide a competitive salary and benefits package commensurate with your experience and expertise.
