Project and Program Delivery
KPMG’s Project and Program Delivery team create project controls to analyse, assess and manage risk in all major projects and across all phases of the project lifecycle, from visioning to delivery.
We provide clients integrated project management, project assurance, project controls, project risk, project delivery, planning and design and contract compliance advice using data-driven tools and methodologies and provide practical and reliable project support services.
Your Opportunity – Lead Planner
Our Integrated Project Controls team are leaders in delivering scheduling and planning, from design to construction and commissioning. We are part of the Project and Program Delivery team for major projects across the energy, water, and transport (road and rail) sectors nationally.
This team provides a wide range of services, and we are looking for a Lead Planner to support delivering major infrastructure projects who can:
- Develop, assess, maintain, and manage project schedules / project plans.
- Lead all schedule works across analysis, trends, Management of change (MOC), contingency and QA/QC.
- Develop, support, and provide centralised scheduling advice for client projects.
- Work with our wider delivery team to review and audit live projects, ensuring continued compliance and validity of schedule.
- Use quantitative data to help clients to understand progress and performance of project key risks and opportunities.
- Perform project concurrence and peer review functions for large scale complex infrastructure projects.
- Give project owners optimal scheduling to maximise value and minimise risk.
- Work with our team of professionals including PM’s, engineers, QS’s, estimators, architects, and risk.
In addition to these technical capabilities, our Leads are responsible for people management, business development and delivering to our team strategy. They play a key role in engaging with our clients to understand their challenges and work alongside them for exceptional outcomes.

Your Experience
At KPMG, we believe diversity of thought, background and experience strengthens relationships and delivers meaningful benefits to our people, our clients, and communities. To be considered for this opportunity, your qualifications, skills & experience could include:
- An SME or highly proficient in providing scheduling and planning services for infrastructure projects.
- Extensive experiences in a project scheduling within the EPC/EPCM industry or advisory.
- The ability to report on the progress and schedule of projects and engage with clients at all levels.
- Advanced experience using industry planning / scheduling software systems (such as Primavera P6 or MS Project)
- High confidence with MS Excel and Power BI preferable.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent planning qualifications.
