Overview:
Experience in assisting with grant writing is required for this position. In this role, you will support communities and applicants in preparing grant proposals, ensuring they align with project objectives and meet funding requirements. You will work under general supervision, with some autonomy in decision-making, and oversee smaller projects or specific components of larger initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance and technical assistance to communities and applicants in preparing grant proposals, ensuring alignment with funding requirements and project goals.
- Manage the planning and execution of project tasks, overseeing smaller projects or key components of larger initiatives.
- Ensure a thorough understanding of project objectives, timelines, and deliverables, and ensure alignment with the broader project scope.
- Participate in weekly meetings with leadership and teams to discuss progress, challenges, and updates.
- Assist in reviewing and refining project work plans, incorporating feedback from senior staff and ensuring high-quality technical assistance.
- Prepare detailed reports, including data on project milestones, forecasting trends, and identifying challenges, to support project leaders and stakeholders.
- Assist in identifying potential risks related to project tasks and collaborate on strategies to address these risks.
- Ensure compliance with data security policies, including proper handling of Personal Identifiable Information (PII).
Qualifications:
- Experience in assisting with grant writing, specifically supporting communities or applicants in preparing successful proposals.
- Master’s degree or equivalent experience. Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree should have at least 10 years of experience, while candidates without a degree should have at least 14 years of relevant experience.
- Strong project management skills, including planning, estimating work requirements, scheduling, and supervising tasks.
- Ability to work independently while ensuring alignment with project and organizational objectives.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills, with experience leading team meetings and providing progress updates to leadership.
Experience:
- Significant experience assisting in grant writing and project leadership, especially in technical or community-based projects.
- Strong background in working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
- Experience in quality assurance and risk management to ensure projects meet high standards and overcome obstacles.
