Reporting to the VP, Human Resources, the Learning Specialist will be responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating effective learning solutions to enhance employee performance and customer experience. This role collaborates with subject matter experts, managers, and leadership to assess training needs, develop engaging learning content, and ensure alignment with organizational goals. The Learning Specialist is instrumental in fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.


Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with department leaders and HR to conduct needs assessments to identify and assess organizational and individual training needs.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive learning plan based on needs assessments and strategic objectives.
  • Design and develop learning materials, including instructor-led training, eLearning modules, workshops, and job aids.
  • Create online courses, modules, and instructional materials (videos, quizzes, and simulations) using eLearning software
  • Develop curriculum aligned with learning objectives, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Leverage instructional design principles to create interactive and multimedia-rich educational content.
  • Design interactive and multimedia-based learning experiences to enhance learner engagement.
  • Customize content to meet diverse learning styles and organizational requirements.
  • Facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions, ensuring a high level of participant engagement.
  • Support managers in delivering on-the-job training and coaching programs.
  • Utilize interactive tools and technology to enhance learning experiences.
  • Measure the effectiveness of learning programs through surveys, feedback, assessments, and performance metrics.
  • Keep learning materials up-to-date with industry trends and organizational changes.
  • Manage Learning Management System (LMS), including course uploads, user management, and reporting; tracking and analyzing learner progress
  • Stay informed about emerging learning technologies and recommend innovative tools to enhance training delivery.
  • Work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure technical accuracy and relevance of content tailored for specific audiences.
  • Build relationships with employees, managers, and leadership to promote a learning culture.
  • Support organizational change initiatives by providing training and resources to facilitate adoption.
  • Continuously improve course content and delivery methods based on feedback and emerging trends.
  • Keep up with the latest eLearning technologies, trends, and methodologies to ensure the organization remains competitive in its learning offerings.


Key Experience & Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in learning and development, instructional design, or corporate training.
  • Proven experience designing and delivering training in a corporate environment.
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theories.
  • Proficiency in eLearning software and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Knowledge of multimedia tools (e.g., video editing, graphic design).
  • Ability to explain complex topics in clear and engaging ways.
  • Ability to address learning challenges and implement effective solutions.
  • Precision in designing course content that aligns with learning objectives.
  • Ability to work independently with a high volume of work and evolving priorities.
  • Excellent facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess training needs and measure program success.
