Role Overview:

We are seeking a motivated Legal Operations Specialist with a genuine passion for legal technology, operations, and continuous improvement. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a property lawyer or conveyancer looking to pivot into legal operations and foster innovation in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Initially, the successful candidate will support the Queensland practice through transactional work for 3-6 months while transitioning into this innovative role. Following this period, you will focus on process optimisation, system support, and project management as the business continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Transactional Work (Initial 3-6 Months):
    • Provide hands-on support to the Queensland practice team in conveyancing and property law transactions while transitioning into the legal operations role.
  2. Continuous Improvement Champion:
    • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement across the business.
    • Identify areas for process optimisation and support cross-functional teams in implementing solutions.
    • Engage with partners and customers to gather feedback and enhance service delivery.
    • Research industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the firm remains at the forefront of legal service delivery.
    • Conceptualise and develop new service offerings to expand the firm’s market reach.
    • Collaborate with the business development team to identify and pursue new market opportunities.
    • Implement data-driven decision-making processes to guide improvement initiatives.
    • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of improvement initiatives.
    • Present regular progress reports to senior management on the impact of continuous improvement efforts.
  3. System Support:
    • Manage onboarding and offboarding across our platforms and systems.
    • Provide first-level system support to legal and conveyancing teams.
  4. Precedent Implementation and Updates:
    • Assist in the implementation and updates of legal precedents and workflow management.
  5. File Opening Coordination and Data Support:
    • Assist the front-end customer support and practice teams with customer engagement and coordination.
  6. Reporting and KPI Management:
    • Assist in the preparation and refinement of internal reports and KPI tracking.
  7. Legal Project Management Support:
    • Assist with the development and implementation of processes and workflows for innovative projects.

The Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for a property lawyer, conveyancer, or experienced property paralegal who:

  • Is eager to transition into legal operations with a strong focus on legal technology and process improvement.
  • Has transactional experience in property law or conveyancing.
  • Is passionate about continuous improvement and has a track record of driving innovative solutions.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical skills, and is able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Is tech-savvy, forward-thinking, and adaptable to new systems.
  • Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Thrives in a collaborative team environment and is ready to take on new challenges and responsibilities.
