Linux Senior Software Engineer Wfh (Remote)

We are dedicated to delivering comprehensive cyberattack protection through our innovative Open XDR (eXtended Detection and Response) platform, which employs cutting-edge machine learning and security technologies. We are currently seeking a dedicated Senior Software Engineer with a focus on Linux to contribute to our mission of safeguarding organizations against cyber threats. This position is fully remote within the United States.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop resilient, low-footprint sensor software compatible with various Linux distributions such as Ubuntu, CentOS, and Red Hat Enterprise, for both cloud and on-premises environments.
• Create and implement high-quality, high-performance code within a multi-threaded/multi-process architecture to integrate customer data seamlessly into our XDR platform.
• Continuously enhance existing sensor software to improve performance and optimize resource utilization.
• Write deployment scripts for the Linux sensor in customer environments.
• Independently analyze and troubleshoot sensor-related customer issues.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in at least two programming languages, including Python, C/C++, Shell scripting, Go, Ruby, or Java.
• Familiarity with network protocols such as VXLAN, ICMP, TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, and HTTP.
• Experience in performance tuning on Linux systems.
• Knowledge of Network IDS, IPS, and Network Security Monitoring engines (e.g., Suricata) is a plus.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to excel in a dynamic startup environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s/PhD with 2 years of experience in cybersecurity-related fields.
• A self-motivated individual with a strong sense of ownership and a willingness to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
