An outstanding opportunity now exists for an experienced Business Services Manager or Senior Accountant with leadership experience to join this highly regarded, established and successful accounting and financial planning firm in Melbourne’s south/east (Moorabbin area).

Promoting a fantastic culture and offering a highly collaborative, flexible and professional working environment, we are now seeking an experienced and senior candidate to manage a team and bring their accounting and leadership experience to the table.

The primary responsibilities of the role will encompass overseeing a team in the provision of high end, quality tax and business accounting services to the firm’s clients and key duties will include:

• Overseeing a team to deliver quality client focussed accounting services
• Workflow management
• Manage client relationships
• Manage compliance requirements
• Provision of taxation services
• Business Development – identifying new opportunities for the firm such as new products, new clients, alliances with other FS providers, cross seling
• Ongoing professional development of team
• Staff supervision and mentoring

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

• CA qualificiation
• Bachelors Degree
• 3-4+ years in a senior accountant position plus further leadership/management experience
• Strong knowledge and experience across tax and business services
• Strong business acumen
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Long term commitment to clients and firm
• Enjoyment of training/development and mentoring of junior staff
• Great interpersonal skills and experience within a larger advisory business preferred.
