Your new role will involve:
- Developing the most effective commercial approach to managing TAFE SA’s Strategic & Complex Contracts, enabling value for money outcomes.
- Leadership and coaching of the Contract Management function, embedding a team culture of high performance, professionalism and continuous improvement.
- Application of your strategic mindset and exercising significant levels of independent judgement to contemporary Contract Management solutions.
- Having a program approach of the Contract portfolio.
- Enhancing Contract Management capability.
- Working within the SA Government Procurement & Contract Management framework.
- Contributing to TAFE SA’s strategic plan and the functions objectives.

- The Procurement and Contracts Management team are varied in their experience and tenure at TAFE SA – you will work alongside recent joiners, and long-tenured staff, who come from a diverse industry background, such as state and local government, energy, Defence and manufacturing
- You will work with varied and high value contracts, adding diversity to your knowledge base and existing contracts management skill set

What you will need to apply:
- Experience in managing, leading and motivating teams to a high performance.
- Delivering tangible Value for Money in a complex environment.
- Formulate practical and innovative solutions and implement change and mitigate risk.
- Contract program or portfolio management expertise.
- Proven ability to lead, develop and manage collaborative, productive and successful working relationships, liaise and negotiate at senior levels and foster trust, co-operation, and support from others.
- Ability to work under very broad direction and exercise a high level of original and strategic thinking, independent judgment, drive and initiative in identifying problems, and taking, or recommending corrective action to address.
- You will be a community minded individual, passionate about ensuring the delivery quality education for TAFE SA students and ultimately delivering to the State’s economy.
