Job Description:
This position is responsible for leading, producing, and delivering Public Relations programs.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Managing the PR agency relations
  • Leading and assisting with corporate strategy and marketing efforts.
  • Develop communications strategies and reconcile related marketing budgets
  • Write copy for all initiatives, including marketing, sales and internal communications
  • Create marketing strategies that build customer loyalty programs, brand recognition and customer satisfaction
  • Create and manage release dates for recurring publications
  • Manage projects to ensure content is publication-ready and in by the deadline
  • Create and send out press releases for new products and services.
  • Occasional travel required.
  • Participate in other projects or duties.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Determine appropriate resourcing of staff in order to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Define annual Key Performance Indicators aligned with corporate goals.
  • Manage and mentor employees on performance gaps, career development opportunities, and strategies.
  • Manage and coach employees on all human resource related processes including onboarding, performance management, succession planning, employee relations, selection, terminations, compensation and rewards.
  • Recognize others’ contributions and share credit for success.
  • Own attainment of high employee satisfaction and retention; lead development of program and initiatives within group to attain high employee satisfaction.
  • Prepare and manage budget as assigned; analyzes variances and initiates corrective actions to maximize operational performance.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to use social media channels effectively to deliver marketing content
  • Experience creating targeted content that generates measurable ROI
  • Ability to listen and understand information and communicate the same.
  • Must possess good organizational skills.
  • Must be results oriented, customer focused, and exhibit good interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office packages.
  • Sufficient knowledge of business communications, including telephone, voicemail, and e-mail and operations of office machines, such as photocopier, scanner, and fax.
  • Able to lift twenty-five pounds
EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or equivalent experience
  • Master’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Journalism, Communications considered a plus
  • Seven (7) plus years of experience in marketing and corporate communications, with three (3) plus years of leadership experience
  • Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
