About the Opportunity
The Manager Corporate Services is accountable to the Chief Operating Officer for the effective delivery of the Public Trustee’s corporate finance and reporting, internal communications, procurement, records management, administrative support, facilities, and physical security functions.
The ASO8 Manager, Corporate Services is accountable to the Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for:
- Oversee corporate reporting to ensure compliance with legislative and AGD/SA Government requirements.
- Collaborate with AGD Finance, Shared Services SA, and the Department of Treasury and Finance.
- Provide expert financial and budget advice to the Public Trustee, Executive team, and Branch Managers to drive high performance.
- Lead projects and programs aimed at improving financial and corporate performance, sustainability, and customer outcomes.
- Support strategic planning to address current and future business needs of the organisation.
- Lead and empower the Corporate Branch team to achieve organisational objectives.
- Develop and implement continuous improvement programs aligned with government policy and organisational needs.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
To thrive as the Manager, Corporate Services at Public Trustee, you will need:
- Proven ability to lead and inspire a high-performing and inclusive team, prioritising staff wellbeing.
- Strong skills in managing performance, setting clear goals, and driving accountability to meet both strategic and operational objectives.
- Experience in developing and executing strategic and operational financial plans, ensuring effective budget management.
- Ability to lead the preparation of financial statements and annual budgets, providing expert analysis and ensuring financial sustainability.
- Ability to effectively manage risk, procurement and resources, including finances, contracts, asset records, etc.
- Ability to manage key contracts effectively, monitor performance, and apply best practices in procurement.
- Strong understanding of physical security, risk management, and business continuity planning, ensuring the safety of assets, staff, and stakeholders.
- Proven experience in the preparation and presentation of financial and performance reports and submissions to Ministers, Chief Executives and other senior management.

About the Business
The Office of the Public Trustee (Public Trustee) operates as part of the Attorney-General’s Department and was established on 1 January 1881, under the Public Trustee Act 1995 (SA). It offers services to South Australians, including will preparation, powers of attorney, and administration of deceased estates and trusts. The Public Trustee is also responsible for managing the personal, legal, and financial affairs of individuals who are unable to handle these matters on their own. At the heart of our work is our commitment to protecting the wishes and interests of those we serve.

Special Conditions for Employment
Employment is dependent upon a National Police Certificate clearance that the AGD finds satisfactory. Successful applicants will be provided further information if an interview is requested.
