Position: Customer Planning Manager (Remote, U.S. Based)

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for supporting sales teams in achieving success? We’re looking for a proactive Customer Planning Manager to join our team! This is a fully remote position open to qualified candidates residing in the United States.

Role Overview

As the Customer Planning Manager, you’ll be responsible for creating and executing sales enablement strategies that empower our sales team to meet their goals. Your focus will be on equipping our sellers with essential resources, including training, coaching, and tools, to connect effectively with clients at every stage of the sales process. In this role, you’ll track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of enablement efforts, providing insights and adjustments to help the team operate more efficiently. By leveraging data and feedback, you’ll identify areas for improvement and refine strategies to enhance the overall sales experience. This role requires close collaboration across departments to ensure cohesive messaging and a seamless customer journey.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning: Develop customer-specific sales forecasts and targets, create tailored strategies, and lead the Customer Business Planning Process to drive success.

Performance Optimization: Monitor and improve customer performance through targeted execution, promotional activities, and effective broker and cross-promo management.

KPI & Sales Analysis: Conduct regular KPI reviews, optimize the product portfolio, and analyze promotional activities to fuel continuous improvement and drive sales growth.

Cost Management: Balance service levels with cost efficiency, analyze delivery expenses, and implement the Cost to Serve model to establish profitable customer relationships.

Data-Driven Decision Making: Manage and analyze sales data, utilize analytics tools for forecasting, prepare insightful performance reports, and adjust strategies based on these insights.

Cross-Department Collaboration: Serve as a liaison between sales and other departments, working closely with marketing, finance, and supply chain teams to support a seamless sales planning process.

Additional tasks and projects may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.

Experience: 4-6 years in a sales support, sales representative, or administrative role within a sales environment, with a preference for business development experience. 3+ years in project management, ideally within Consumer-Packaged Goods.

Preferred Background: Prior experience in sales training is beneficial.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Strong presentation skills and a collaborative approach to team engagement.

Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to convey ideas clearly and effectively.

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept at managing multiple active projects.

Ability to establish effective working relationships both within and outside the organization.

Strong project management skills, with a focus on organization and collaboration.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
