The Manager, Marketing Strategy, Softlines will plan and implement long term and fiscal year marketing strategies. You will have overall marketing leadership responsibility of supporting growth of Disney’s North America fashion and home categories.
You will actively lead and cultivate the engagement, partnership and joint business planning with each account, new and existing, to ultimately support the category team to drive and deliver growth in licensing sales on behalf of the North America business.
The Manager, Marketing Strategy, Softlines will report to the Director, Marketing Strategy.
You Will Be Responsible For:
- Building annual roadmap to anchor support against all key North American softlines partners and launches
- Develop and activate marketing strategies within DCP to support category team on new opportunities and accounts
- Lead integration between partner brands and Disney ecosystem, driving fashion-forward innovative 360 marketing campaigns (including in-store POS, windows, digital content, events, screenings, loyalty campaigns, synergy opportunities, etc.) with accounts, across all franchises, as well as category growth initiatives such as shop-in-shops, cafes, new experiences.
- Leverage macro and micro trends along with audience, category and retailer insights to craft more effective marketing campaigns for DCP, with maximum return on investment
- Collaborate with global DCP team, activation regional programs for global accounts and providing regular account strategy and campaign updates
You Will Have
- 6-8 years of marketing experience
- Experience within specialist Fashion, Footwear and Accessories consumer products marketing
- Experience planning, driving and evaluating innovative, outstanding softlines marketing campaigns with social and influencers
- Experience in pitching to SL brands, licensees, retail partners and DTRs
- Experience establishing effective relationships, leading and managing change and collaboration across departments to achieve financial targets and joint goals
- Experiencing leading and managing a team
- Ability to give both internal and agency creative teams direction and briefs, and manage feedback and approval process within brand guidelines
- Ability to analyze data and implement recommendations to achieve business targets
- Computer skills including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Keynote
- Flexibility for travel
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or equivalent work experience
- Master’s in Business Administration is preferred

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $123,000 – $165,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
