Who you are

We are seeking a dedicated and results-driven leader to join our insurance agency. This individual controls the strategic direction and operational management of our agency, including sales, customer retention, and call center operations, ensuring our commitment to doing well by doing good. This role involves leading a team to achieve growth objectives, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enhancing customer satisfaction. The Managing Director will work closely with senior leadership to drive profitability and market expansion.

What you’ll do

  • Strategic Development: Formulate and execute a comprehensive strategy to achieve financial targets while aligning with the agency’s mission and values.
  • Team Leadership: Inspire and motivate the insurance agency’s team to achieve high performance and deliver exceptional results.
  • Process Optimization: Identify and streamline processes to improve operational performance and reduce costs, ensuring maximum efficiency.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant insurance regulations and industry standards, staying abreast of changes in legislation.
  • Financial Performance: Monitor financial performance, including revenue growth, profitability, and expense management; implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Results Driven: Develop and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure and enhance business performance.
  • Problem Solving: Address challenges proactively by fostering a culture of collaboration and open communication within the team.
  • Opportunity Exploration: Identify and evaluate new revenue streams and business opportunities to enhance the agency’s growth potential.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • 7-10 years of progressive experience in the insurance industry, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership or management role.
  • In-depth understanding of insurance products, regulatory requirements, and market trends. Familiarity with Medicare and Social Security Disability is a plus.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high performance.
  • Ability to think strategically while managing day-to-day operations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and data analysis software and an ability to be technically savvy.
  • Licensed Medicare Advantage or Supplement agent, or be willing and able to obtain licensure within a specified timeframe.
