Background
For our dynamic growing, innovative Specialty/Branded Pharma division within an already established leading generic international pharmaceutical company, we are looking for a Market Access professional who is willing to look outside the clear-cut frames of a common big pharma role and who wants to operate in a more autonomous entrepreneurial way than in big pharma.
This job offers you the opportunity to develop in the broadest sense by being engaged in all aspects of the business. For our upcoming oncology launches in multiple treatment lines across Soft Tissue Sarcoma (STS) and Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM), you will be responsible for driving the EU-HTA process/Joint Clinical Assessment. Next to the work on European level, you will also drive market access activities in Germany, specifically related to the AMNOG process for upcoming product launches.
You will report to the Head of Market Access Western Europe. The European Management team is located at different places in Europe, the German office is in Leverkusen and the European office is in Amsterdam.
Major tasks & responsibilities
- Identify and engage stakeholders to understand the requirements for mastering the new EU-HTA/Joint Clinical Assessment
- Develop EU-JCA strategy & engagement plan for Sun Pharma’s Specialty products
- Drive PICO identification with the support of Sun Pharma’s in-country market access managers and external vendor support where required
- Ensure adaptation of Global value dossier and health economic evidence to meet EU-JCA requirements in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external vendors where required
- Interact with HTA agencies to defend EU-JCA submissions
- Drive Joint Scientific Consultation (JSC) process for Sun Pharma’s Specialty products
- Next to the activities on European level, drive the AMNOG process in Germany incl. coordination with all relevant internal/external stakeholders (incl. G-BA, IQWiG, Scientific Societies)
- Address sub-national (regional/hospital) market access challenges in Germany as per business requirements
- Conduct pricing/reimbursement assumptions creation and validation for BD and pipeline opportunities from a German perspective
- Proactively monitor developments in the EU-HTA/JCA legislation as well as German market access landscape, assess & flag business implications to the EU management team
Skills and Abilities
- Academic degree in health economics, economics or natural sciences
- Minimum 5 years professional experience in a market access consultancy or in a market access role in the pharmaceutical industry
- Experience and proven track record in the creating, submitting and defending dossiers and health economic evidence towards HTA agencies (especially G-BA/IQWiG). Additional experience in other European markets is a plus
- Thorough understanding of health economic models & evidence
- Self-starter mentality, openness and ability to work independently while closely collaborating with other internal functions and external stakeholders (Medical, Commercial, Clinical etc.)
- Fluent in German + English (mandatory)
- Willingness to travel as per business need
