About The Role

As a Market Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic brand initiatives across the Spokane and Eastern Washington markets. Partnering with distributors and key retail accounts, both On and Off Premise, you’ll lead local sales and promotional efforts to drive brand awareness, distribution, and revenue growth. You’ll work closely with distributor teams to coordinate strategies, manage priorities, and maintain a strong market presence, while also gathering insights and reporting on trends that impact business in the state.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Planning: Drive and monitor sales performance with distributors, setting clear priorities and holding them accountable to achieve objectives.

Brand Advocacy: Serve as the go-to representative for our brand in the state, reinforcing our objectives and strategies with distributors and retail partners.

Sales Process Management: Bring a professional, structured approach to sales processes, staying open to coaching and adaptive changes.

Team Empowerment: Equip distributor sales teams with the tools, knowledge, and support they need to execute brand strategies effectively.

Standards Enforcement: Uphold sales, distribution, and product placement standards during training events, retail visits, and all stakeholder interactions.

Performance Tracking: Review program results with distributor managers and the Regional Manager to ensure goals are met.

Relationship Building: Build and nurture strong relationships with key personnel in high-impact retail accounts, both On and Off Premise.

Territory Management: Strategically cover your territory for maximum impact, maintaining consistent contact with key accounts and distributor personnel.

Compliance & Reporting: Adhere to national account standards and complete monthly market reports for the Regional Manager.

Professional Development: Take initiative in your personal and professional growth, using company resources, coaching, and self-directed learning.

About You

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field preferred, though relevant work experience may substitute.

Experience: Minimum of five (5) years in the beverage alcohol industry, with a background in sales or marketing.

Skills: Proficiency in data analysis, presentation skills, and communication, with experience in both sales strategy and product promotion.

Tech Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse teams and clients.

Preferred (but Not Required)

Specialization in Management or Marketing

Advanced computer skills

Physical Requirements

This role may involve standing, walking, reaching, and occasionally lifting up to 20 pounds.

Compensation

The expected salary range for this role in Washington State is $95,000 – $105,000, with variations based on location, experience, skills, and education. This role includes eligibility for an annual incentive program, monthly reimbursements, and comprehensive benefits, including health, 401K, and paid time off.
