Blue Ridge Power (BRP) is seeking a Marketing and Communications Coordinator to join our growing Marketing team and assist us with telling our various stories to the outside world! The Marketing and Communications Coordinator will be immersed in many projects and have the opportunity to interact with other departments within the company. Working in support of our Director, Internal Communications, could mean you’re fact-checking a press release, creating content for our social media channels, researching industry statistics, managing our photography needs, or analyzing our website analytics.

What You’ll Do:
- Branding: Help to define how we position ourselves through both internal and external communications by playing an important role as a steward of our brand. Develop and update marketing materials, such as sales and product collateral, ensuring that brand guidelines are consistently met.
- Communications: Write, proofread, and edit creative and technical copy across different mediums.
- Content Development: Lead Blue Ridge Power’s social media content development for all channels to best represent our company, brand, and story. Find creative ways to showcase what we’re doing in a visually appealing way – be it photography, video, Instagram Stories, etc. Track and implement marketing programs such as email, digital campaigns, and events.
- Research: Analyze trends and conduct market research to identify new marketing opportunities for Blue Ridge that further our thought leadership.
- Collaboration: Work with internal teams to develop strategic marketing initiatives and collaborate on internal communications efforts.
- Have a little fun along the way!
Must-Haves:
- 2-4 years of experience in marketing or communications.
- Skilled in writing and editing content.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects.
- Organized and detail-oriented.
- Strong knowledge of various marketing and analytics tools such as Google Analytics, CRM systems (Salesforce), project management cloud programs, and content management systems.
- Excellent analytical skills and a knack for data analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (you speak and write with confidence and clearly articulate ideas).
- Strong work ethic and the ability to thoroughly complete a task from start to finish.
- Thorough knowledge of social media platform uses and best practices.
- Experience with graphic design and photo/video editing.
- Hustle! (you understand deadlines and have a sense of urgency for getting the job done).
Nice-to-Haves:
- Solar industry experience.
Education and Certifications:
- Associate’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field is preferred.
Working Environment and Physical Demand:
- This position can be remote, preferably within comfortable travel distance of one of our BRP office locations in Fayetteville or Asheville, NC.
- Travel up to 25% to our BRP offices and for company events.
- The position works in an office environment.
- Must possess reliable transportation.
- Must be able to sit/stand at a desk and utilize a computer for extended periods.
- May require lifting/carrying up to 20 pounds.
