Shark Ninja is expanding our APAC business and scaling it rapidly. Our two brands, Shark, and Ninja, have enjoyed unprecedented growth in the past 5 years, driven mainly by the very strong innovation pipeline on both brands. Given this success in our existing markets, Shark Ninja has embarked on a bold plan for growing APAC business, in which ANZ plays a critical role. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Marketing & Communications Director to join our team. This role will be based in Sydney
Position Overview:
The role of Marketing & Communications Director has oversight of shaping the brand identity and positioning of the fastest growing brand in small appliances across the Australian and New Zealand marketplace. Your creative vision and strategic mindset will drive the success of our products, ensuring they stand out in a competitive landscape and that go-to-market planning supports the commercial objectives of the ANZ business, across both new and existing product categories.
Here are some of the EXCITING things you will get to do:
- Develop full year, message, channel and budgets plans to support dozens of new product entries to the Australian and New Zealand market place each year.
- Develop, execute and review captivating marketing campaigns to engage consumers and drive brand loyalty.
- Collaborate with product marketing teams and global brand and communication teams to conceptualise and launch innovative small appliances that meet the evolving needs of our target audiences.
- Forge strategic partnerships with influencers and industry leaders to amplify our brand presence and reach new audiences.
- Analyse market trends and consumer insights to identify opportunities for campaign innovation and differentiation, ensuring our small appliances remain at the forefront of the industry.
- Work with best in class third party marketing agency partners, across direct to consumer, retail, trade, PR, sponsorship and media portfolios.
Experience:
- 5-8+ years of proven experience in marketing leadership as a head of marketing or equivalent level
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead teams internally and externally with vision, clarity and collaboration
- A growth mindset and the ability to navigate through ambiguity
- Proven track record in end-to-end in go-to-market planning and execution, preferably in consumer goods or food and beverage
- Strategic Brand Management: Experience in shaping brand identity and positioning, with a strategic mindset for maintaining brand differentiation in a competitive market.
- Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Demonstrated ability to work closely with product marketing teams, global brand, and communications teams to launch innovative products.
- Partnership Development: Experience in forging strategic partnerships with influencers, industry leaders, and third-party agencies to amplify brand presence and extend reach.
- Market and Consumer Insight Analysis: Strong analytical skills to interpret market trends and consumer insights, identifying opportunities for campaign innovation and differentiation.
- Agency Management: Experience leading third-party marketing agencies across various portfolios, including retail, trade, PR, and media.
- Know when and how to raise critical issues.
